Travelling to Blackpool

By Air

The closest airport to Blackpool is Manchester (MAN). You could also fly to both Liverpool (LPL) and East Midlands (EMA).


You will then need to either arrange transport from the airport by taking the train or a taxi to Blackpool, or hiring a car and parking in Blackpool for the weekend.

By Train

Blackpool is well-connected to the national railway network. There are direct rail services from Manchester International Airport (MAN), Liverpool Lime Street to Blackpool North railway station.


One change at Preston station connects to other major cities including: London Euston, Birmingham, Glasgow and Edinburgh. For more information, visit National Rail.

By Car

Blackpool enjoys the luxury of having a motorway/freeway link direct to the heart of the resort – take either Junction 32 off the M6 to the M55!

By Coach

National Express Coaches operate to and from Blackpool throughout the year. Arriving and departing in the new Blackpool Central Coach Station located at the rear of Coral Island. Further details can be found here.

By Sea

Blackpool is within easy reach of a number of ferry ports covering crossings from Ireland, Isle of Man and the Netherlands. A full list of ferry crossings is detailed here.

Parking

You should first check with your hotel to see if they have available parking. If they do, try and secure a place there.


If not, don't worry, Blackpool Council loves to build carparks that are very close to the venue. You can find a detailed list on the Blackpool Council website.

The Winter Gardens, Blackpool

World Dance Masters will once again be held in the historic Winter Gardens in Blackpool, England.


The Winter Gardens is a large entertainment complex located in Blackpool's town centre, about 250 metres from the sea front in Blackpool, Lancashire, England. It is historically one of the most famous ballrooms in the world, holding the World Latin & Ballroom Championships every year.


World Dance Masters will have full access to three of the Winter Gardens Ballrooms - The Empress Ballroom, The Spanish Hall and The Arena.
